The vendors of an electronics manufacturer were submitting over 30,000 reports on their use of hazardous substances. However, they were in different languages and formats that could not be digitized. This resulted in a labor-intensive review process that was prone to inaccuracies and compliance challenges.
Infosys created an integrated solution that automated the digitization of vendor reports. The XtractEdge Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform was also leveraged to manage the extraction and accessibility of data. But beyond enabling accuracy and consistency, the solution also empowered informed decision-making on compliance issues, and reduced time spent on manual reviews by 80 percent.
