When a large public university was being contacted by employers that wanted to provide upskilling to their employees, the university’s staff members were conducting manual searches to find suitable courses. Infosys built an AI application, leveraging Infosys Topaz, that enabled searches by skill or profession. Backed by ChatGPT, it allowed the user to enter a sentence describing the objective in “free text”.
With these tools, search times for courses declined from five hours to approximately 30 minutes. Several employers reacted favorably. One of them wrote, “Google helps you find things, but you don’t find exactly what you need. This does and it’s great.”
