Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning produces scroll compressors that are incredibly versatile and are suited for a variety of applications. However, the wide variety brought challenges when documenting the specifics of a customer's requirements.

Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning turned to the cloud for their solution. Infosys conceptualized a cloud-based interactive product configurator, leveraging Infosys Cobalt. The custom solution provided relevant data and multiple selections at the customer’s fingertips while capturing their requirements and optimizing pricing for the sales team’s convenience. This resulted in faster sales cycles and enabled the sales team to meet expectations and go beyond, offering a personalized customer experience.

Siemens Gamesa

ENABLING SEAMLESS INTEGRATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

In 2017, Siemens AG’s Wind Power and Gamesa merged to form Siemens Gamesa. Their vastly different IT landscapes called for complex integration and standardization of operations.

To implement this, Infosys used SAP S/4HANA to merge 12 legacy ERP applications – 10 disparate SAP instances, 1,300 peripheral applications, and 22 manufacturing plants around the world. They leveraged Infosys Cobalt to standardize the redesigned IT infrastructure and operations. The digital transformation went live in 13 countries and the rollout touched over 2,300 users with zero technical downtime. It also enabled Siemens Gamesa to become a cloud-powered, intelligent, digital-native enterprise.

The Jotun Group, a global supplier of decorative paints and coatings, partnered with Infosys and Microsoft as part of its strategy to migrate on-premises applications to the cloud. The company modernized nine key business applications to run in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment on Microsoft Azure, aiming to avoid routine system administration tasks.

In addition to streamlining operations, Jotun focused on converting monolithic applications into scalable and distributed ones.
